I don’t do things like this often, but if EAC goes through I will have to stick to my principles and uninstall Smite.

Speaking as a beta player who has literally spent over £1000 on this game, this system is a documented failure.

There are two videos on YouTube right now which show the Smite PTS for this update which includes EAC. In the videos there are two people speed hacking, exactly the sort of thing the EAC is supposed to do.

So if EAC isn't stopping cheating what is it doing?

Taken from EAC's website "https://support.easyanticheat.net"

"Important

All EAC bans are permanent – EasyAntiCheat has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift EAC bans on request. If a round of EAC bans is determined to have been issued incorrectly, they will be automatically reversed by our servers. Creating a Support ticket will not cause your ban to be removed.

If you choose to purchase a new copy of the banned game, please register or purchase it under a newly-created account. Prior to installing, remove all cheats from your system and reboot the system prior to logging into the newly purchased account. If you do not know how or where the cheats were installed, you may want to consider reformatting your hard drive(s) and starting over with a fresh installation of your operating system.

Sorry for the wall of text but essentially the system will ban you if it detects anything which flags it, you cannot appeal the ban, and your account is permanently banned from online play, or in this case Smite in general.

The newly released "For Honor" uses EAC and right now their subreddit is exploding with complaints about the system with thousands of users being banned for no reason with very limited response from the EAC team. There are people who don't even own the game who are banned.

Worst of all is the EULA for EAC basically tries to take any blame/fault away from the EAC team and place it on you. They do not help anyone who has been banned whether it be provably false or actually legitimate.

I am very disappointed to hear this from HiRez.
