Devs, why…?

Pros and Cons list of your "smart" little gate update.

Pros:

  • Simplistic base designs, easy to build
  • Easy to raid
  • Can boost into almost any base design unless shelter + upper level shelter or wall + upper level wall

Cons:

  • Can boost into almost any base design unless shelter + upper level shelter or wall + upper level wall
  • Breaks roofs
  • ANY shelter on the expansion will break, so no gates in front of shelters anymore.
  • EASY TO RAID
  • No depth to base building
  • Tamper on deck designs, open a gate, wacks another gate, bye.
  • Base designs will look something like, walls and gates around it, no roofs and loot rooms in center cuz nowhere else to put
  • YAY FLOATERS
  • YAY CLAN MEGA BASES
  • YAY CANCER
  • Accidentally open the wrong gate? Whoops.

If anyone has anymore pros or cons, tell me i'll add it.

So you cant roof your base off properly, you cant put shelters on expansions properly unless youre careful with your gate and wall placements. Meta = megabases. So fun! LETS REMOVE GATES CLIPPING INTO SHELTERS WHEN 90% OF DESIGNS DEPEND ON IT BECAUSE EXCUSE IS "TOO EXPENSIVE TO RAID", NOT FAIR. BUT WAIT A SECOND! WE CAN JUST MAKE FUCKING 50 BASES AND CANCER UP THE SERVER! INNOVATIVE. You are literally ruining your game. (insert "ITS TIME TO STOP" papa franku gif).

It doesnt do anything against mega bases because you can have decks close to eachother, put walls, watchtower and jump through to the center. But for any other player, still gotta raid wall wall wall wall wall wall wall wall wall wall wall. and hey, if you cover the wall on both sides with large shelters, LEL. Wall shelter wall, wall shelter wall. EASY.

Also only counter argument that can be made is, hey, lets make metal harder and fert harder and wow!. NO. Just makes this make more grindy than it already is for solo players or small groups. But changing loot will NEVER affect clans. because THEY HAVE 20 PEOPLE LOOTING THE ENTIRE MAP.

Time to quit the game after 8k hours.
