Okay so I just finished NG and skipped all the story stuff thinking that I could do it again in NG+ like dark souls. But found out that is not the case so decided to do another playthrough on normal. Considering I did it as a ninja the first time with a Kusarigama I decided to do a Ronin build and try and be about as true to the build as I really could. It should be noted this build is not meant to be op at the top and really just doing it for fun and a bit of a challenge. But still would like it not to be terrible. So any suggestions would be good.
Note: This build only uses 1 Katana and 1 Bow, the other two slots are empty. Because a felt this is more like what a Ronin would have.
Armor: Genius Strategist's Garb with Ronin Armor: Mengu Sword: Hoshi-kiri Tachi Bow: Shigedo Longbow
All Items are fine to use, except ninja tools like stealth, hiding, caltrops, etc.
Ronin Specific Items:
Daion-jin's Sake – Because why wouldnt he be a drinker :P? Tiger Sprint – To get that fast warrior feeling.
Anything in the weapon categories is fine Ninja – Poison, Tiger Sprint and Pills are fine. Onmyo – Anything except Carnage. (Note: Rage and Power Pills are acceptable)
(Before Divine) Warrior of the West 2pc (For Tiger Sprint, use bow to complete set.) Strategist of Legend 2pc (Timely Guard extension) Daiichi Daiman Daikichi 2pc (Night Rain Damage) Sword: Kusanagi Tsurugi (for status purification.)
(Divine Setup with Yasakani Magatama) Warrior of the West 2pc (For Tiger Sprint, use bow to complete set.) Strategist of Legend 2pc (Timely Guard extension) Daiichi Daiman Daikichi 2pc (Night Rain Damage) Saika's Yatagarasu 4pc (For Auto Aim Weak spot) Sword: Kusanagi Tsurugi (for status purification.)
Furuta – Luck and Silver Tounge or Tokugawa – Prevents death as long as not a crit and elixiar boost.
Enko – Went with this because I feel like he really fits the Ronin look when he is summoned or Suzaku – Offers the more unique utility I think.
Summary of build:
So this is setup to not be overly powered, I really want to push upon the utility and fun aspect of the build instead of just being totally over powered. That is my hope anyway. Any suggestions on things that would make this more interesting let me know.
